  • The principles and values that the Burt’s Bees brand adheres to will guide the choices made for Burt's Bees for Pets, taking into account unique category dynamics. All Burt's Bees for Pets are pH balanced for pets and 95% natural origin. They are formulated without Parabens, Phthalates, Petrolatum, Synthetic Fragrances, or SLS. The line features the power of nature’s ingredients like buttermilk, chamomile, lavender, and honey. All packaging is made from Post‐Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials and the bottles are also designed to be recyclable, allowing for minimal impact on the environment.

  • Our products are intended to last two years from date of manufacture, which can be determined by reading the lot code. We recommend that products be used within 12 months after opening and it's best to store products out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight, if possible.

    Our products come with manufacture dates printed directly onto them. There are multiple ways manufacture dates may be printed. To read lot codes, refer to the information below. The underline represents the year, the bold text represents the Julian date (day of the year) and the italicized text represents the batch reference.

  • You can find the lot code underneath the barcode on Burt’s Bees for Pets products. The lot code will be formatted as PCM-X-XXX-XX. The PCM signifies the company (Fetch for Pets). The first X corresponds to the month, the following three X’s are an arrangement of consecutive numbers, and the final two X’s are the last two digits of the year. For example, the lot code for a product made in July of 2019, would be: PCM724719.

  • No, Burt’s Bees has a policy against animal testing and its licensees do not test on our beloved pets either. These products were especially formulated for pets with ingredients known for specific benefits for pets, utilizing existing knowledge from personal care and pet industry.

  • Our Burt’s Bees Shampoos are formulated without SLS or other harsh detergents which can be irritating to a pet’s delicate skin. These types of chemicals create a lot of lather and foam which gives the illusion of a better clean, but ultimately they strip the skin of all good oils leaving dry, itchy skin and a brittle coat. We only utilize high quality, low-foaming coconut derived surfactants which gently and effectively clean while leaving a perfect balance of natural oils.

  • Burt's Bees for Pets products are all manufactured in the United States with global ingredients by respectable American manufacturers.

  • This product is not harmful to cats but is specially formulated to meet the needs of dogs.

  • Yes, it safe to use Burt's Bees for Pets in combination with topical flea and tick products as they will not wash off. But use Burt's Bees for Pets in conjunction with the directions of your topical flea and tick product.

  • We do not use actual bee venom in our products – only bee byproducts such as honey and beeswax. However, if you are allergic to bee byproducts, then we do not suggest using our products. We recommend that you contact your veterinarian if any specific questions for your pet.
